What is the maximum number of students at your school?
-
We have two full time certified teachers and one part time teacher. This year (2021-2022) we will allow a maximum of 15 students.
-
What kind of grades do you offer? How do you know students are learning?
-
We offer grades for each child, though based on different data points than public schools. We set growth goals with your child and meet with them on a weekly basis to check in and see how they are progressing. Each student will also be in charge of managing their portfolio. We work with each student to set goals each quarter based on national and state standards in all core areas.
-
How does this school prepare students for a traditional college?
-
Starting in the middle school year we ask the students to pair up with a mentor in the community. They work to learn from that mentor and spend an increasing amount of hours learning from that mentor each year. Every year students are asked to choose a mentor/internship in a different field of study.
-
Is technology integrated into your schooling? How much?
-
Technology is part of our future. As such we integrate it into our school day. Students will be asked to use technology to assist in learning, but not in excess.
-
